On July 1, 2025at the monthly Legal Preparedness Working Group Meeting, Debra Yeskey, Pharm.D., the Head of Regulatory Policy & Intelligence for CEPI and Catherine Hoath, the Regulatory Affairs Strategy Lead at CEPI presented on the newly launched Pandemic Preparedness & Response Playbook. 

During the April Legal Preparendness Action Package Working Group meeting, Alexandra Finch from the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law presents on “The WHO Pandemic Agreement: A Triumph of Multilateralism”. The GHSA Legal Preparedness Action Package hosted a workshop on November 13, 2024 focused on the mpox response. Countries and experts from international and regional organizations shared information and experiences on the regulatory challenges faced during the mpox response since 2022.Topics included obstacles to accessing medical countermeasures, facilitating country approval processes, and the ethical implications during public health crises

The GHSA Legal Preparedness Action Package hosted a workshop on February 1, 2024, focused on discussing the role of liability risk management in promoting equitable access to MCMs during international public health emergencies, including through no-fault compensation mechanisms.

On July 10, 2023,  the GHSA Legal Preparedness Action Package provides an Introduction to Liability and Regulatory Measures and Lessons Learned on Liability and Preparedness During Public Health Emergencies.

The GHSA Legal Preparedness Action Package brought together a wide range of prominent experts from across sectors and regions for in-depth discussions on challenges, lessons learned, and best practices in liability risk management. In this first webinar (recorded on 5 October 2023), experts introduced liability risk management and analyzed the challenges and lessons learned from COVID-19 and other health crises.

On October 5, 2023 the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) Legal Preparedness Action Package hosted their  first event in a two-part webinar series on the complexities of addressing liability risk while promoting equity during public health emergencies. The series will bring together prominent experts from different sectors and regions to highlight challenges, guidance, and best practices. In the first webinar, experts introduce liability risk management and analyze the challenges and lessons learned from COVID-19 and other health crises.

The GHSA Legal Preparedness Action Package ran two workshops on legal preparedness at the Global Health Security Conference in Singapore from June 28 to July 1, 2022. This legal mapping workshop highlighted how countries can address a wide range of legal challenges posed by infectious diseases threats.

The public launch of the GHSA Legal Preparedness Action Package on On March 31, 2022 brought together distinguished experts from around the world to share insights on the importance of legal preparedness and lessons learned from the legal challenges encountered during the COVID-19 response and past health emergencies.

Scholars from Yonsei University in the Republic of Korea discuss lessons learned from Korea’s recent legal mapping project. The conversations also feature policy experts and researchers who provide an overview of the Action Package, as well as an introduction to legal preparedness and legal mapping.
