Advocacy and Communications
Purpose
The Task Force on Advocacy and Communications supports the GHSA Steering Group Chair in activities intended to promote information-sharing and coordination among GHSA member countries and organizations, encourage multisectoral engagement and commitments to global health security, and increase the visibility of GHSA activities.
Primary Activities
- Plan and facilitate the Global Lessons Observed Webinars (GLOW) series and other events to share information on resources, lessons observed, and validated practices across action packages and among GHSA members.
- Maintain and monitor the GHSA website and social media channels.
- Publish announcements to alert stakeholders to upcoming events, member commitments, and stories of impact.
- Develop outreach materials to promote the vision and values of GHSA.
Expected Outcomes
- Increased sharing and use of tested tools, resources, guidance, and models to optimize planning and capacity building for outbreak prevention, preparedness, and resilience.
- Increased collaboration among health and non-health actors to make and follow through with specific, measurable, time-bound commitments to the GHSA targets.
- Increased awareness of GHSA as the leading multisectoral, multilateral partnership for achieving a world safe and secure from infectious disease threats.
