Committees
What are GHSA Committees and Task Forces?
Committees: To ensure comprehensive communication, accountability, and coordination within the GHSA framework, the Executive Secretariat is supported by the Committee on Advocacy and Communications, Committee on Results and Accountability and Committee on Action Package Coordination.
Task Forces: Since GHSA’s inception, GHSA members and partners have conducted various activities in an ad hoc way, limiting communication and coordination across the GHSA community. The Steering Group established flexible, time-limited Task Forces that advance member-determined priorities in a strategic and targeted way, while ensuring this work leverages and complements the efforts of partners and other health security actors.
Committees:
The Committee on Action Package Coordination provides administrative support and facilitates coordination across different GHSA Action Packages.
The Committee on Advocacy & Communications (CAC) is responsible for developing and implementing strategic outreach, advocacy, and communication plans to enhance the visibility and impact of the GHSA. This includes managing public relations, generating content for various communication channels, hosting advocacy webinars, and planning campaigns.
The Committee on Accountability & Results focuses on tracking and evaluating progress toward GHSA targets, conducting member surveys, and supporting the commitment campaign.
Task Forces:
The R&D Task Force develops tools to help Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) countries and donors make a clear case for the linkage between R&D capacity-building and health security targets, sets clear roadmaps for strengthening R&D capacity-building, and holds dialogues that help identify and highlight key bottlenecks for decision-makers.
